Theatre Scarborough annual general meeting

2026 Theatre Scarborough Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in person at Scarborough Village Theatre
If you're a member of Scarborough Music Theatre, Scarborough Players, or Scarborough Theatre Guild, you're automatically a member of Theatre Scarborough too!
The Theatre Scarborough Board works behind the scenes to support all three companies by coordinating our shared use of Scarborough Village Theatre, working with the City of Toronto on our behalf, and overseeing many of the services we share. The AGM is a chance to hear about everything that's been accomplished over the past year, learn what's ahead, ask questions, share your ideas, and help shape our future. We'd love to have you there!

AGM Documents
Meeting materials will be posted on the Theatre Scarborough website approximately one week before the AGM. These will include:
● AGM Agenda
● Minutes from the 2025 AGM
● 2025–2026 Annual Report
● 2025-2026 Financial Report
● 2024-2025 Financials
To reduce paper waste, printed copies will not be available at the meeting. Please feel free to bring a tablet or use your phone to view the documents during the meeting. We will also have a presentation running at the meeting.
Motions to be Considered
Members will be asked to vote on the following:
● Adoption of the Agenda for the August 26, 2026 AGM
● Approval of the Minutes from the August 27, 2025 AGM
● Acceptance of the 2025–2026 Annual Report
● Acceptance of the 2025–2026 Financial Report
● Acceptance of the 2024/2025 Financials provided by Hogg, Shain & Scheck
● Appointment of Hogg, Shain & Scheck Professional Corporation as Theatre Scarborough's accounting firm
Board of Directors Election
The Theatre Scarborough Board consists of the Presidents of our three member companies, along with elected Directors.
This year, members will be electing:
● President (1)
● Vice-President (1)
● Members at Large (6–8 positions)
As a Theatre Scarborough member, you're eligible to vote and run for the Board.
To be nominated, a candidate must be supported by five Theatre Scarborough members.
Please note: Members will also vote on proposed revisions to the Theatre Scarborough By-laws. If approved, these changes will allow for a greater number of Members at Large on the Board.
Interested in Running?
Nomination forms must be received by 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
If there are still vacancies at the start of the AGM, additional nominations may be accepted from the floor.
