Theatre Scarborough annual general meeting
You are invited to attend the 2025 Theatre Scarborough Annual General Meeting.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
As a member of Scarborough Players, Scarborough Theatre Guild or Scarborough Music Theatre, you are also automatically a member of Theatre Scarborough.
The Theatre Scarborough Board is responsible for making decisions about how our companies share the space at the Scarborough Village Theatre and for liaising with the City of Toronto on our behalf. The AGM is your opportunity hear about the work from this past year and to put your ideas out there for moving forward. Your participation matters!

Once you have registered, you will be sent the Zoom Link for the meeting.
All the AGM documents will be available on the Theatre Scarborough website approximately a week before the AGM. These documents will include the agenda, minutes from the 2024 AGM, the board report for the 2024-2025 season, the financial report, and any updated policies and procedures.
We will also provide information about critical motions that will require a vote. In order to expedite proceedings, there will be a mover and seconder already assigned to each standard motion. • To Approve the Annual Report as presented
• To Approve the S2023/2024 Notice to Reader
• To Approve Hogg, Shain, & Scheck Professional Corporation as the accounting firm
Theatre Scarborough Board of Directors Election
The Board of Directors consists of 8 to 10 members who are elected at the AGM as well as the Presidents of the 3 members groups. The roles which will be elected at our AGM are:
One President
One Vice-President
Six to Eight Members at Large
If you are a member of Scarborough Players, Scarborough Guild, or Scarborough Music Theatre, you are a member of Theatre Scarborough and you may stand for election to this Board. You will also be able to vote during the election and on any motions during the meeting.
Any member can be nominated but will require the support of 5 other Theatre Scarborough members to be considered for election.
Please note:
• Nominations must be received no later than 11:00 pm August 20, 2025
• If an insufficient number of nominees have been put forth at the beginning of the AGM, then additional nominees can be nominated from the floor.
