Scarborough Music Theatre, Scarborough Players and Scarborough Theatre Guild perform out of the Scarborough Village Theatre located at 3600 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON.
The theatre is located on the north east corner of Markham and Kingston roads inside the Scarborough Village Recreation Centre.
The temperature in our theatre can vary. For your comfort, we recommend dressing in layers to manage these variations. We apologize for any inconvenience. The temperature control is under the purview of the facility's management and not under Theatre Scarborough's direct control.
Ample parking is available at the theatre.
TTC accessible via the Markham 102 from Warden Station and Morningside 116 from Kennedy Station. There is a Wheel-Trans drop-off/pick up area at the main entrance to the facility.
Through a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Scarborough Village Theatre has been equipped with an Assistive Hearing Loop System.
Most hearing aids and cochlear implants have a “T-coil” setting that allows them to pick up the signal directly from the hearing loop in the theatre.
On some hearing aids there is a physical “T” switch or button. Others can be programmed through your remote, or an app on your smartphone.
If you are unsure, speak with your audiologist and ask about the “T-coil” setting.
Anyone can borrow one of our 15 portable receivers and a set of headphones.
We sanitize the headphones after each use, but you are free to bring your own with a ⅛” plug if you wish.
Look for the banner displaying the Hearing Loop logo in the lobby. One of our Front of House Volunteers will provide a device and instruct you in its use.
Audiologists recommend that you remove any hearing aids before using our headphones in order to avoid feedback (but remember to bring the case for your hearing aids so that you don’t misplace them in a pocket!)
