About the Show

Presented by SMTY - Scarborough Music Theatre's youth program.

A captivating musical that tells the timeless story of Anne Shirley, one of Canada’s most beloved literary heroines.

Based on L.M. Montgomery’s beloved classic novel, Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™ follows the adventures of a wildly independent orphan with fiery red hair and a temper to match. Anne Shirley is mistakenly sent to live with a plainspoken farmer and his sister, who thought they were adopting a boy! She wins over the Cuthberts and all of Avonlea with her irrepressible spirit and imagination — and wins over audiences with this warm, poignant story about love, home and family. This magical, affecting musical will be performed by our Youth Company, SMTY.
