Babes in Arms
Babes in arms are not permitted in the theatre at any time.
Children at Performances
We welcome children at our performances but please note they must be accompanied by an adult, have their own ticket, and for the enjoyment of other patrons and safety of patrons and performers must remain in their seat and be quiet for the entire performance. Please note that minimum age recommendations are available for each production.
Theatre Refreshments
Enjoy a selection of snacks and beverages from our concession stand before the show and during intermission. In support of the City of Toronto’s environmental initiatives, we no longer sell water in single-use plastic bottles.
To help keep the theatre comfortable for everyone, only beverages in sealed containers are permitted inside the auditorium, and food items are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding!
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in our venue. Service animals should have either a visible indicator, or an identification card or letter from a healthcare practitioner confirming that the customer requires the animal for reasons relating to a disability. Please advise the Box Office when ordering your ticket to ensure suitable seating is reserved.
Scent Free Environment
The Scarborough Village Recreation Centre and Theatre are scent-free environments. We are committed to ensuring the enjoyment of all patrons. In consideration of those in the audience who may have allergies and chemical sensitivities we ask that you refrain from wearing cologne, perfume or other scented products. Those not complying to this policy may be asked to change seats at the discretion of the FOH Manager.
Late Seating
It is the responsibility of the ticket-holder to check their ticket for the correct performance, day of the week and curtain time.
All performances begin promptly as scheduled, and there are no refunds for latecomers.
Latecomers and any persons leaving the auditorium may only be admitted at a suitable break in the performance and if there is an easily accessible seat available.
For certain events, it may not be possible to seat latecomers until the intermission. If the production has no intermission, latecomers may not be admitted at all.
Masks
Masks are no longer required at the Scarborough Village Theatre but we are a mask friendly environment.
Performance Rights
Occasionally performance rights for a show are withdrawn by the license-holders after we have announced our seasons. Our member groups reserve the right to change their programmes without further notice.
Refunds
There are no refunds at any time.
